Robert G. Torkelson, age 64, resident of Edmore, ND, died Sunday, May 30, 2010 at his home in Edmore, ND.

Robert George Torkelson was born November 10, 1945 to Myrtle (Haakenson) and George Torkelson of Edmore, ND. Robert graduated from Edmore High School in 1964. He was then employed by the Boeing Company of Seattle, WA. Robert returned to Edmore to farm. In his later years he worked as a heavy equipment operator in Colorado, and most recently, for an area farmer.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.

Robert will be missed and remembered by his children Wendy Harrington of Mesa, AZ, and Shawn Torkelson of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Ryan, Devon, Austin; and a great grand daughter Breeah.

The Memorial Service for Robert will be Friday, June 4, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Concordia Lutheran Church, Edmore, ND. Interment will be in the Edmore Cemetery.
