Ramona I.
Rainsberry, age 81, resident of Lakota, ND, died Friday,
September 2, 2011 at Lakota as the result of an automobile
accident.
Ramona
Ilene Fahey was born January 21, 1930 in Lakota, ND,
the 5 th child of James and Eva (Simons) Fahey. She
was raised on her parents farm north of Lakota and graduated
from Lakota High School in 1948. Ramona married Davis
Rainsberry on November 28, 1953 at St. Mary Catholic
Church, Lakota. They lived on the Rainsberry farm for
one year before moving into Lakota, where they had lived
all of their life together. Ramona worked over 40 years
in Lakota as an office clerk at Claytons Store, Gutting
Drug, Nelson County Treasurers Office, Nelson Count
ASCS Office, and St. Mary Catholic Church. Ramona and
Davis retired and had been married for over 58 years.
This past year Ramona began working again at St. Mary's
Church with Fr. Aerts.
Ramona
is survived by her husband, Davis Rainsberry of Lakota;
2 sisters, Maxine Anseth and Patricia Schuh, both of
Lakota; sister-in-law, Mable Fahey of Lakota; and several
nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She
was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Rita
Schuh and Dorothy Hanson; and a brother, Gerald Fahey.
The
Vigil Service for Ramona will be held at the Aaker Funeral
Home of Lakota on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 7:00
p.m. and the Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Catholic
Church on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m.
with burial to follow in the Lakota Cemetery .
