Diseth, age 79, resident of Edmore, ND, died Wednesday,
July 7, 2010 at his home in Edmore.
Luvern
Lowell Diseth was born March 17, 1931 at Edmore, the
son of Ludvig and Laura (Dahl) Diseth. He was raised
and attended school in Edmore. Luvern married Darlene
C. Braaten on December 8, 1950 in Edmore. They lived
their entire life and raised their family together in
Edmore. He worked for the Ramsey County Highway Department
for over 40 years as a road construction foreman. Later
in his career he also worked with his sons in Diseth
Brothers Construction. He was an avid horseman all of
his life. He enjoyed raising them, attending horse shows,
and anything involving horses. Darlene died November
1, 2009.
Luvern
will be greatly missed by his 4 sons, Doyal, Donavan
& his wife Debra, and Scott & his wife Sally,
all of Edmore, and Shane & his wife Lisa of Devils
Lake, ND; 6 grandchildren, Becky Diseth, Jessie (Wade)
Harpestad, Sondra (Danny) Hanson, Josh Diseth, Jordan
Diseth, and Sawyer Diseth; 2 great-grandchildren, Jadyn
& Payton Harpestad; 1 sister, Mercedes (Lee) Schmidt
of Devils Lake; 1 brother, Marlin (Jean) Egeland of
Edmore; his sister-in-law, Beverly (Bob) Silva of Union
City, CA; brother-in-law, Archie Smith of Aurora, CO;
and several nieces and nephews.
He
was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a brother,
Arvil Diseth; and 2 sisters, Bertha Scherber and Elsie
Myrvik.
Luvern's
Funeral Service will be held at the Concordia Lutheran
Church of Edmore on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.
Officiating will be the Reverend Sue Mackey. Interment
will be private in the Edmore Cemetery. The casketbearers
will be Luvern's sons, Doyal, Donavan, Scott, and Shane.
Visitation will be held at the Aaker Funeral Home of
Lakota on Sunday, July 11, 2010 beginning at 6:00 p.m.
with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue
at the church on Monday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time
of service.
