Larry Rogness, age 62, resident of Devils Lake, ND, formerly Starkweather, ND, St. Michael, ND and Pekin, ND died Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Altru Health System in Grand Forks, ND.

Larry was born January 10, 1945 in McVille, ND the son of Peder and Olive (Moldahl) Rogness. He grew up and was educated in the Pekin area. On September 18, 1971 he married Loretta Marie Langstaff in the St. Michael Catholic Church. They resided in St. Michael for a number of years. Larry was an independent mail contractor for 19 years. In 2003, they moved to Starkweather. Loretta died May 27, 2006. Larry moved to Devils Lake in the spring of 2007. He enjoyed watching baseball, collecting toy tractors, gardening and attending auction sales. Larry loved to visit and spend time with people, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving members of the family are his three sons; Eric (Tara), David (Geneva) and John; all of Devils Lake, ND. 3 grandchildren; Alex, Abby and Cory "Alfred". 2 brothers; David Rogness and Marlo Rogness both of Pekin, ND. 1 sister Susan (Ervin) Hultgren of Warwick, ND and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and wife Loretta.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 13, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the Pekin Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Friday, July 13, 2007 at 1:00 PM in the Pekin Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the Pekin Cemetery, Pekin, ND.
