Irma
M. Tronson, age 74, resident of Doyon, ND, died Sunday,
December 23, 2007 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Irma
Marie Sitar was born August 23, 1933 near Bartlett, ND,
the daughter of John J. and Marie L. (Dion) Sitar. She was
raised on a farm 7 miles west of Lakota and attended elementary
school in Bartlett. Irma graduated high school in Lakota
before attended NDAC (NDSU) in Fargo, ND. After college
Irma worked at the ND State Mill in Grand Forks, after which
she married Donald Tronson on March 26, 1960 in Michigan,
ND, and they settled in Doyon. There she and Don enjoyed
the small community lifestyle it offered and raised 2 sons.
During those years she was employed at the post offices
in Doyon, Crary, and Lakota for 18 years.
Irma
is survived by her husband, Donald of Doyon, ND; sons, Mick
(Diane) Tronson of Moorhead, MN, and Gary (Stacey) Tronson
of Casselton, ND; brother, Dean (Marguita) Sitar of Doyon,
ND; and 2 grandchildren, Alexis and Benjamin Tronson of
Casselton, ND.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marie Sitar;
and her sister, Charmaine Connelly.
Irma's Funeral Mass will be held at St.
Mary Catholic Church of Lakota, ND, on Saturday, December
29, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. The Celebrant will be Very Rev. Fr.
Scott Sautner. Music will be provided by the St. Mary Church
Choir. Interment will be in the spring at the Doyon Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Aaker Funeral Home of Lakota
on Friday, December 28, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue
at the Church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of
service.
