Dorothy K. Opsahl (Schuh), age 85, formally of Mesa, AZ, residing in Indianapolis, IN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept 4 th , 2010 from an extended illness.

Dorothy was born on April 11, 1925 in Lakota, ND. She married her husband Roland of Michigan, ND, on Sept 25 th, 1942. Dorothy was one of Joseph and Mary Schuh's four children and attended Dodds Township School and graduated from Lakota High School in May of 1942. Dorothy lived in many places during her 67 year marriage to Roland. These included Texas, Virginia, Nebraska , ending with their retirement in Mesa, AZ in 1973. During Dorothy's working career she was employed by Sears for many years. She also worked as a Dental Receptionist. When Dorothy was not working she spent her time sewing, reading and enjoyed playing cards.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Roland; son, Allen (Christine) Opsahl of Indianapolis, IN; granddaughters, Kimberly Opsahl of Carmel, IN, and Kathryn (Tony) Duckett (Opsahl) of Indianapolis, IN; great-granddaughter, Sara Duckett (due November 6 th, 2010); her sister, Mable Fahey of Lakota, ND; and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her twin daughters, Lynn and Linda; her parents, Joseph and Mary Schuh; sister, Margaret Carpenter; and brother, Theodore Schuh.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church of Lakota, ND, on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Lakota Cemetery.
