Don D. Orwick, age 71, resident of rural Michigan, ND, died Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Meritcare Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Don Duane Orwick was born May 22, 1936 in McVille, ND. He was the son of Fred and Ansoph (Ruse) Orwick. He attended Melrose #2 grade school in Melvin Township. Don graduated from Michigan High School in 1954. Don married Pat Johnson on October 6, 1957 in Devils Lake, ND. They lived on their farm at rural Michigan. He served on the Melvin Township Board, Michigan School Board, Federal Land Bank Board, and was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, International Flying Farmers, and the Morgan Horse Association. Don farmed at rural Michigan and ran an aerial crop spraying business at Michigan and Glendive, MT. Don enjoyed flying, horses, dancing, and good friends.

Don was greatly loved by Pat; two sons, Bradley of Michigan, ND, and Bryce (Monica) of Clara City, MN; one grandson, Keith (Sara) Pic; three granddaughters, Theresa Pic, Emily Orwick, and Carly Orwick; and several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Angeline; and one brother, Glenn.

There will be a memorial service in the spring at Melrose Lutheran Church.
