Dennis O. Offerdahl, age 82, resident of Grafton, ND, died Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at First Care Health Center in Park River, ND.

Dennis Omer Offerdahl was born August 13, 1926 at Warren, MN, the son of Albert and Olina (Jarstad) Offerdahl. He was raised and attended schools at Newfolden, MN. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After his discharge he worked for farmers at Euclid, MN. He then moved to Minneapolis, MN, where he worked until his retirement. In October of 2007 he became a resident of the Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton.

Dennis is survived by 3 nieces and 1 nephew, Phyllis (Mark) Teiken of Mahnomen, MN, Annette (Gale) Glomstad of Minto, ND, Tami Jo (Ryan) Altendorf of Minto, ND, and Lyle Offerdahl of Lankin, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister and a sister, Avis Offerdahl; and 5 brothers, Henry, Harold, Orville, Donald, and Lester.

The Memorial Service for Dennis will be held at the Aaker Funeral Home of Lakota, ND, on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in the spring at the Middle Forest Cemetery, rural Dahlen, ND.
