DeLores Corine Fosse was born November 9, 1942 at McVille, ND, the daughter of Ted and Orpha (Elgin) Fosse. She was baptized and confirmed at Norway Lutheran Church, rural McVille. DeLores attended Pilot Mound #4 Township School until her family moved to Michigan in 1950. She was a 1960 graduate of Michigan High School. DeLores married Maynard Hjelseth on November 5, 1961 at the Michigan Lutheran Church. She began working for Dr. Martin in 1960 and continued working for Dr. Hagen since August of 1971. She was a member of Michigan Lutheran Church and WELCA, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Michigan Ambulance for 33 years. She enjoyed sports and watching her grandchildren play them.

DeLores will be greatly missed by her husband, Maynard of Michigan; 2 sons, Kent (Joni) Hjelseth of Nevis, MN and Kevin Hjelseth of Warren, MN; 5 grandchildren, Gretta, Bettsy, Mattie, Logan, and Lexi; 2 brothers, Lloyd (Vonnie) Fosse and Merel (Sue Ellen) Fosse, both of Michigan; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Gene Fosse.

DeLores' Funeral Service will be held at the Michigan Lutheran Church of Michigan, ND, on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Officiating will be the Reverend Sue Mackey. The organist will be Sharon Young and the soloist will be Pat Lamb. Interment will be in the Michigan Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Jeff Fosse, Mike Fosse, Virgil Schmidt, Scott Nelson, George Moroz, Lance Hjelseth, Scott Hjelseth, and Derek Hjelseth. An Honor Guard will be provided by the W.L. Cowper American Legion Post #238 Ladies Auxiliary of Michigan. Visitation will be held at the Aaker Funeral Home of Lakota, ND, on Sunday, April 13, 2008 beginning at 3:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Monday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
