Craig
L. Pesek, 55, of Grand
Junction,
CO
(formerly of Lawton
, ND
) passed
away unexpectedly on January
26, 2010.
Craig
was born in Devils
Lake, ND
on March
27, 1954.
He is the son of Bennie and Jackie Pesek. He grew up
in Lawton,
ND
and graduated from Edmore
High
School.
Craig then attended the University
of North
Dakota
and Aakers
Business
College
. He married
Connie Brashier and they had two daughters, Ashley and
Katie.
Craig
spent much of his life working as the Safety Engineer
on large construction projects around the United
States.
Most recently he was employed by McCarthy Company, supervising
safety operations on the construction of the new hospital
in Grand
Junction,
CO.
He had a large appetite for life, was outgoing and a
friend to everyone he met. He was an avid sports fan
and especially enjoyed the NFL, NBA, MLBB and college
hoops.
Grateful
for having shared his life are his family and friends.
He is survived by daughter Katie Pesek and grandchildren
D'Anthony and Makai, Minneapolis, MN; Mother Jackie
Pesek, Grand Forks, ND; special friend Teresa Neal,
Grand Junction, CO; Siblings – Sandi and Doug Newgard
of Edmore, ND, Rick and Ramona Pesek of Aberdeen, SD,
Nancy Wettels of Grand Forks, ND, Jeff and Gail Pesek
of Lawrenceville, NJ, Tim and Joni Pesek of Minneapolis,
MN, Ben and Larissa Pesek of Grand Forks, ND and several
nieces and nephews.
He
was preceded in death by his daughter Ashley and his
father Bennie.
The
Funeral Mass for Craig will be held at St. Mary Catholic
Church of Lakota, ND, on Monday,
February 1, 2010
at 11:00
a.m. The
Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. John Aerts. Music will be
provided by the St. Mary Church Choir, Barbara Johnson
is the organist. Special music will be sung by Rita
Bina, accompanied by Margaret Swanson. Interment will
be in the spring at the St. Catherine Catholic Cemetery,
Lomice, rural Lawton
, ND
. The casketbearers
will be Rick Pesek, Jeff Pesek, Tim Pesek, Ben Pesek,
Nick Wettels, Doug Newgard, and Eric Wilson. Visitation
will be held at the Aaker Funeral Home of Lakota on
Sunday,
January 31, 2010
beginning at 3:00
p.m. with
a Rosary and Vigil Service at 5:00
p.m. Visitation
will continue at the Church on Monday, from 10:00
a.m. until
the time of Mass.
