Claire
Edwin Blomquist, 64, beloved brother, uncle and friend
went home to be with his Savior on Friday, April 29,
2011 at Medcenter One Hospital in Bismarck, North Dakota.
He
was the fifth child and third son born to Clarence and
Florence
(Torgerson) Blomquist. After graduating from Edmore
in l965, he attended and graduated from Valley City
State College and taught school at Makoti,
ND
for two years. From 1972 to 1985, he farmed and lived
at Edmore and Lancaste,
MN.
During this time, he custom combined in the summer and
did trucking during the winter months. He was
living in West Fargo
at the time of his
death and was self employed in the trucking business.
Claire
was a generous, kind-hearted, loving person, who was
always grateful to his parents for teaching him to be
well-spoken and for instilling Christian values.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Claire
is survived by his brothers, Charles (Violet) Blomquist
of Edmore, ND, Clinton (Marlys) Blomquist of Grand Forks,
ND, and Dan Blomquist of Grand
Forks, ND;
his sisters, Angie (Richard) Woerner of Colorado
Springs,CO, and Grace (Tim) Bredeson of Fairdale, ND. He
is also survived by many nephews and nieces, to whom
he was especially devoted. He had a special fatherly
relationship with a nephew, Verdell Bontrager.
He
was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Viola
Bontrager of Dazey, ND.

Funeral Service will be held at Living
Word
Free
Lutheran
Church,
Edmore,
ND,
on Saturday, May 7,
2011 at 2:00
p.m. Officiating will
be the Reverend Craig Wentzel. Interment will be in
the Edmore Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Aaker Funeral Home of
Lakota, ND, on Friday,
May 6, 2011 beginning
at 5:00 p.m.
with a Prayer Service at 7:00
p.m. Visitation will
continue at the church on Saturday, beginning at 1:00
p.m. until the time
of service.
