Beatrice Eva
Myhre, age 90, of Edmore, ND passed away Friday, December
23, 2011 at the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital in
Langdon, ND.
Beatrice,
the daughter of Bert and Mable (Melland) Lee, was born
on March 25, 1921 on a farm west of Nekoma, ND. Beatrice
was united in marriage to Clifford Myhre 70 years ago
on November 2, 1941 in Crookston, MN. They farmed in
the Edmore area their entire life. Beatrice was very
involved in the art of ceramics, as she taught classes
at her home for many years. She taught ceramics to all
her friends and neighbors. She always had cookies &
coffee every Tuesday. She was a kind, loving, generous
person with a great sense of humor. She also taught
ceramics at the Nekoma ABM site for one year. Beatrice
loved spending time with her family and enjoying the
holidays together. She made sure you never left their
home hungry. She loved taking pictures. She kept many
photo albums and scrapbooks. Beatrice was an active
member of Nekoma Lutheran Church. She and her husband
sang in the church choir for 20 years.
Beatrice
will be greatly missed by her family: her husband, Clifford
of Edmore; her children, Curtis (Joni) of Edmore and
Diane (Neil "Buzzy") Holmen of Edmore; 7 grandchildren,
Corey Myhre of Bismarck, Terry (Darlene) Myhre of Devils
Lake, Brad Myhre of Jamestown, Kathy Myhre of Olympia,
WA, Kim (Dennis) Olson of Bismarck, Kristy (Adam) Meek
of Troy, Ohio, and Kelly (Adam) Leiphon of Devils Lake;
12 great-grandchildren; her sister, Mae Melland of Grand
Forks; and several nieces, nephews, and their families.
She
was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Borghild;
uncle, Ole Lee; and grandson, Kevin Myhre.
The
Funeral Service for Beatrice will be held at Concordia
Lutheran Church, Edmore, ND, on Wednesday, December
28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be the Reverend
Jodi Myrvik. Interment will be at St. Hans Cemetery,
rural Edmore. The casketbearers will be Neil Holmen,
Michael Olson, Dennis Olson, Brandon Myhre, Nathan Myhre,
Terry Myhre, and Roger Melland. The honorary bearers
will be all of Beatrice's grandchildren. Visitation
will be held at the Aaker Funeral Home, Lakota, ND,
on Tuesday beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service
at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church
on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
