Adella M. Pouzar was born November 5, 1903 near Lankin, ND, the daughter of Frank and Nellie (Karas) Pouzar. She was raised there until she moved to Whitman with her parents in 1914. She was a graduate of Whitman High School. Adella married John P. Pesek in 1925. They farmed near Lawton, ND. John died in 1947. In 1951 Adella married Thomas M. Pesek. They continued farming together until they moved to Whitman in the 1960's. Thomas died in 1976. Adella continued living in Whitman with her son John. They lived in Michigan, ND for a short time before moving to Lakota in September of 2004.

Adella is survived by 2 sons, Phil J. Pesek of Lawton, ND and John T. Pesek of Lakota, ND; and a grandson, Jacob Pesek of Grand Forks, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, John P. Pesek and Thomas M. Pesek; 2 brothers, Phil Pouzar and Charlie Pouzar; and 2 sisters, Nellie Burns and Libby Pouzar.

Adella's Funeral Service will be held at the Lakota Good Samaritan Center on Friday, August 24, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Fr. Scott Sautner. Interment will be in the St. Catherine Catholic Cemetery, Lomice, of rural Lawton, ND. Visitation will be held at the care center on Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
